Bird flu disease recorded in some areas of Poland has been eliminated

The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan implements appropriate measures in accordance with the epizootic situation in the world based on the information received from the World Animal Health Organization.

According to the official information of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), the highly pathogenic bird flu disease registered in the administrative areas of Lodz, Opolsk, Kuyawk-Pomorsk, Warminsk-Mazursk, Mazoviansk, Lubelinsk, Pomorsk, Slask, Velikopolsk and Malopolsk of the Republic of Poland has been eliminated. Thus, according to WOAH's "Health Code of Terrestrial Animals" in the mentioned areas, the waiting period has ended after the elimination of this disease and the epizootic health status has been restored.

In this regard, the restrictions applied to the mentioned areas in order to protect the territory of the republic from that infectious disease have been removed. At the same time, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan was requested to take appropriate measures.
