AQTI announced the results of the salmonella test

Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute (AQTI) continues proficiency tests for laboratories operating in the country.

In this context, the results of the salmonella test carried out by the Institute are already known. The report on the results is placed in the "Reports" section of the "Competency tests" section created on the website of AQTI (afsi.gov.az) in connection with the organization of competency tests. The results of the laboratories were announced with individual laboratory numbers in order to protect confidentiality. Participants can check the results by visiting the website.

It should be noted that the purpose of tests organized under the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Food Safety" is to create an opportunity for private laboratories to independently assess their competence. Performance of participants in proficiency tests is evaluated according to predetermined criteria through interlaboratory comparison. The tests are organized on the basis of the "ISO/IEC 17043 Conformity Assessment - General Requirements for Competency Tests" standard, and the assessments are conducted according to the requirements of this standard in accordance with international standards. In the "Competency tests" section of the institute's website, the list of the competence tests to be carried out and the documents necessary for laboratories to participate in those tests ("Application form", "Results registration form (Microbiological tests)", "Program") are placed. The laboratory can get acquainted with the planned proficiency tests and their program through the site. If the laboratory wants to participate in the tests, it should fill out the "Application form" placed in the relevant section of the website and send it to the e-mail [email protected]. The results of the competency tests are posted on the Institute's official website within 1 month after the tests are completed.

Let us also inform that according to the Law "On Food Safety", within the framework of state control and regulation measures, as well as the examination (testing) of samples taken for the purpose of issuing permits established by this Law, only the accreditation is carried out in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Accreditation in the Field of Conformity Assessment". should be done in laboratories.
