AEC representatives participated to the Eurasian Pharmaceutical Summit
On September 17-19, 2024, the Eurasian Pharmaceutical Summit was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The state officials from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and the Republic of Azerbaijan and representatives of various pharmaceutical companies paticipated in the event. During the three-day event, strategies for regulating the pharmaceutical markets of different countries, regulatory aspects of medicine registration and re-registration, medicine prices, monitoring and tracking of drugs, development of the state procurement system and other topical issues were discussed and various topics presentations were held by relevant state organizations and companies.
The Azerbaijani delegation was represented by Fakhri Maharramov -Deputy of the General Director of the Analytical Expertise Center, Shamil Aydamirov, – Head of the Quality Management department, Farid Hasanov – Head of the Pharmacovigilance department, Matin Badalov – Deputy Director of the Department of Tariff-Price Policy of the Ministry of Economy, Head of the Pharmaceutical, Expertise and Other Services Sector, and Vusal Demirov – Chief Advisor of that sector.
The delegation participated in the discussions on the topics of “Reforms in the healthcare system and approaches to the provision of medicines to patients”, “Follow-up and monitoring of medicines”, “Registration of medicines”, “Pharmacovigilance aspects ” and “Regulation of medicines prices”.
On 18.09.2024, during the special time was allocated for the Azerbaijani delegation, the questions of various company representatives were answered and detailed information was provided on the direction of the Center’s activities additionally.
